Length: 33 km. Elevation gain: 394 meters. Terrain: paved, unpaved, gravel. Recommended bike: MTB, gravel, trekking. Difficulty: 2. Estimated time: 2 hours. Start: Liptovský Ján.

From Liptovský Ján we set off along a forest path under the mountain with a beautiful view of the flowering meadows. After the initial steep ascent follow a long steady around 10 kilometer-ascent, where we first get to the village of Jamník and continue to the local airport. We continue along the beautiful meadow road towards the High Tatras. In front of us we see one of the peaks of the High Tatras – Baranec. However, we do not continue straight, but we go through a technical descent to the swamp 🙂 It is a nickname, because in this place is quite often wet, even though it is still sunny outside, so that’s why we call it swamp 🙂 This section is followed by a 5-kilometer beautiful descent on a sandy road leading to the village of Vavrišovo. The majestic Low Tatras rise in front of us.

We cross the village and reach the bank of the wild river Belá. We continue along its bank to the village of Liptovský Peter. We will connect to the old asphalt road leading next to the highway, which will take us to the village of Podtureň. We cross the railway and the swing bridge and we are back home – in Liptov Jan.
